Project Pehal is built on the ideology that the Government schools can be revived with effective public private?? partnerships. Our aim is to improve the quality of education in government primary schools to bring educational equity. We focus on significantly improving the children???s ability to learn by bridging the gaps in capability and delivery mechanism in the existing system.

Our Founders Renu Shah and Vijaya Singh with their long experience in social work and education conceptualized Project Pehal and it was founded in 2016. After successfully running the pilot project in 2017-18 with SDMC schools Project Pehal was rolled out in ten schools in rural areas of Greater Noida in July 2019. Since then we have been working to provide extra academic support to children, finding innovative ways to improve school environment, engaging with parents and community?? and empowering the women volunteers called Pehal Sahyogis both at professional and personal level. School building augmentation work has been taken up additionally since it is a requirement for a favourable learning environment.
